Dipika Kakar's tumor surgery delayed due to THIS reason; Shoaib Ibrahim shares health update

Following a high fever, Dipika Kakar, who is currently undergoing treatment for a liver tumor, was recently admitted to the hospital. In a recent YouTube vlog, her actor-husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, provided an update on her health. He shared that the surgery for the actress has been delayed due to the fever. Despite the setback, Shoaib mentioned that Dipika is feeling better while under hospital care.

“Dipika started weaning off Ruhaan after we got done with all the tests. We were then supposed to visit the hospital for the surgery. However, Dipika fell ill and started to have a high fever. Her temperature was more than 103. Moreover, she suffered from extreme body ache. She took several medicines but nothing was working during the time," he continued.

Shoaib Ibrahim also mentioned that since Dipika's condition has improved, the doctors are planning to perform her surgery to remove the tumor on Monday, May 26. “Finally, the tests are done that the doctor has asked. After the tests, we will get to know what exactly needs to be done. As I mentioned earlier, there’s a tumour in her body and that needs to be removed as well. The surgery will mostly be done next week once the remaining tests are done," he shared.

For context, Shoaib Ibrahim shared earlier this month that Dipika had been experiencing significant stomach pain for several weeks. Initially, she was prescribed medication, as it was thought to be an infection. However, after the pain worsened, the actress underwent scans, which revealed a tumor in her liver.

“Our doctor asked us to visit again and when we met him, he asked us to do a CT scan and it showed that Dipika has a tumour in the left lobe of her liver. It is bigger in size like a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us," he said.

Dipika, who had made a comeback on television after a four-year hiatus through Celebrity MasterChef, was forced to withdraw due to health concerns. In a previous vlog, she recounted experiencing severe shoulder pain during the filming of a festive special. Rushed to the hospital, doctors identified swollen lymph nodes as the source of her discomfort.
