Due to ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, actor Diljit Dosanjh is being trolled due to his new film, Sardaar Ji 3, featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Amid the backlash, Diljit Dosanjh’s former manager, Sonali Singh, has voiced her support. On Instagram, she shared a lengthy statement titled "Always Choosing Love Over Hate," praising Diljit for consistently promoting "love, unity, and kindness" and never resorting to outrage.
She described the backlash as "disheartening and unfair," explaining that the film was filmed well before the rise in tensions between India and Pakistan.
She also pointed out that boycotting a film like this, which lacks the backing of a major corporate entity, could lead to significant financial losses.

He is not releasing the film in India, standing in alignment with the nation’s current mood, showing once again that he honours the decisions of his own country even at a personal and professional cost.
She expressed disappointment, noting that while Diljit represents India with pride, "how quickly we forget his own country."
Diljit's former manager then described him as an "ambassador of India, not through propaganda but through spirit, his art, his love." She concluded by stating that the "cycle" of targeting him "must end."
Diljit Dosanjh recently addressed the controversy, explaining to the BBC Asian Network that the project was completed before the current political tensions arose.
Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha. We shot this in Feb and then everything was fine. Uske baad, bhut saari badi cheezen humare haath mein nahi hai. Toh producers ne decide kiya ki film obviously ab India toh nahi lagegi, toh overseas release karte hain. Toh producers ka bahut paisa laga hua hai aur jab yeh film bann rahi thi tab aisa kuch tha nahi, he said, adding that the makers are aware they will incur losses. “Now the situation is not in our hands. So if the producers want to release it abroad, I support them."
Sardaar Ji 3 stars Hania Aamir as a ghost hunter, alongside Diljit Dosanjh, who is assigned to exorcise a spirit from a UK mansion. The film blends action and comedy, with romantic elements as Hania and Neeru Bajwa compete for Diljit's affection.
Scheduled for a global release on June 27, Sardaar Ji 3 faced controversy regarding its casting. The Pahalgam terror attack heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, leading to a ban on Pakistani artists in India.
