Veteran superstar Dilip Kumar was recently admitted to the Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai after he complained of breathlessness. The 98 year old actor has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and is currently on oxygen support in the ICU ward.
As wishes for his speedy recovery pour in from all corners, veteran actor and his dear friend Dharmendra Deol also took to Twitter to appeal fans to pray for Kumar’s speedy recovery.
Dharmendra shared a throwback picture with Dilip and his wife Saira Banu. Sharing the priceless photo, he wrote: "Dosto, Dalip Sahab ek nek rooh insaan...ek azeem fankaar ke liye aap ki rooh se uthi duaen zaroor bar aayengi, ji jaan se Shukriya Aap sab ka," using folded hands emoticon.
Meanwhile, the doctors have posted the latest update on Dilip Kumar’s health. Taking to his official Twitter handle, the recent update reads:
"Update at 11:45am. Dilip Saab is on oxygen support - not on ventilator. He is stable. Waiting for few test results to perform pleural aspiration : Dr Jalil Parkar, chest specialist treating Saab. Will update regularly."
Last evening, Saira Banu slammed the death rumours and stated that he will get discharged in 2-3 days. She had written on Twitter: "Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable. Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh’Allah."
