Did you know how did 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' get the names of its leads Anurag and Prerna?

Kasautii Zindagii Kay is all set to return to the TV screens, this time with the new age Anurag and Prerna in the form of Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes respectively. While the show has been one of the oldest, and fondly remembered, there is something that many of the ardent fans might not know.

In one of her tweets, Ekta Kapoor made a mention about how the name Anurag came after her director friend Anurag Basu. However, she teased the fans on what do they think is the secret behind Prerna's name.

During the press meet, Ekta made a mention how Sharman Joshi's wife's name is Prerna and that she is the daughter of her father's good friend, Prem Chopra. It was through a suggestion from a colleague that Prerna's character got the name.

She also made a mention of how the two names complement each other in the sense of their meaning as Anurag means love and Prerna means inspiration.
