Did Shahid just express his DISGUST over 'Rangoon's poor performance!

It natural for a being to feel sad or say even frustrated when his hard work doesn't bear fruits. Similar is in the case of actor Shahid Kapoor. His recent film 'Rangoon' failed to cast its spell on the audience. And that's what Shahid feels 'Shitty' about.

Well, that isn't we who is saying that, but the actor himself. During a recent conversation with his fans on twitter, one of his fans asked him how does he feels when his films don't work? Here's what he replied:

It won't be wrong to say that Shahid might be hinting towards the poor performance of his last film 'Rangoon'.

Though Shahid and Kangana Ranaut were heavily praised for their performances, it completely failed to impress the critics and viewers.

Shahid is now gearing up for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film 'Padmavati' that also stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone.

LOL @CShafkat first of all did you watch the movie? Second of all have you ever picked up a history book? India was under the British Raj during this time, and had more than 2 million soldiers deployed to fight with the allied forces. Many of these fought in Burma against (and in some theories for) Japan. Bengal suffered from a famine, hundreds of thousands died...and you're telling me India had nothing to do with it. Wow.
If you didn't like the movie that is fine, your call. But to make such a sweeping statement that is disrespectful to those who lost their lives in this war is crass.
Now we know why the movie didn't run, because..stupid people. It is because of ignorant people like you that India is doomed to be stuck in constant stagnation. Please go educate yourself.

As for the movie, I loved it!

Rangoon was complete trash! We all knew how it was gonna be. There's no need to be pissed about its failure. The director was confused whether he wanted to make a commercial film or a content based film. Stupid filmmakers made a film on WW2 when India had NOTHING to do in it.

Honestly if there's anything which is like really SHITTY it's the mindset and choices of Indian cinema audiences. Films like Rangoon which are content based and classy with career best performances by all three Shahid, said and kangana fail to do well here coz all people want to see is bhaijaan salman moving his belt or item numbers of cheesy romantic chick flicks. The future of this nation's cinema is in darkness...Sigh.

It's the indian audience who are shitty! Creative movies hardly do well because large audience don't have brains to understand anything!! They understand nonsense stories that are OTT!! What can you expect from them!! They feel bored and then make sure no one else watches it by giving their reviews!!

The film was good.
Its actually shitty on part of the audience that classy films like Rangoon don't do well.
With stellar performances from all three actors to some brilliant direction, the film deserved so much better.
Sometimes its so not possible to understand what audience wants.
Can't the audience move beyond commercial cinema with the same item songs & groves.
Intelligent films don't get appreciated, and thats a sad fact.
