Did Paras Priyadarshan quit ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ as he didn’t want to age on-screen?

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ took an unexpected turn with the current track revolving around Abhimanyu- Akshara’s separation. In a drastic turn of events, the show witnessed one of the shocking twists with Neil’s death and Akshara’s apparent miscarriage. 

Birla and Goenka families are shattered with the tragedy. Manjiri and Aarohi has blamed Akshara for the incident. Despite Abhi’s strict instructions, Akshu takes Neil with him out for the concert and they indulge in a fight with goons. In the course of action, Neil passes away while Akshu loses her babies. Abhimanyu also gets devastated with the tragedy. In the upcoming episodes, Abhi blames Akshu for all the issues that they faced from Sirat’s death to Niel’s death and losing their babies. Akshu leaves the house helplessly.

The show is slated to take a leap; post which kids will be introduced. The fans are mighty upset with Neil aka Paras Priyadarshani’s exit from the show. While there were many speculations as to why did the makers end the track of such a powerful character, a report in TellyChakkar.com suggests that it was Paras who didn’t want to continue with the show as he wasn’t comfortable in playing a father onscreen in such a young age.

‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is produced by Rajan Shahi’s ‘Directors Kut production’. The show has a stellar star cast including actors like Harshad Chopda, Pranali Rathod, Paras Priyadarshani, Sachin Tyagi among others.
