In a recent interview with Filmy Mantra, she spoke about her link-up with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress firmly denied ever dating him. She said that her family knows the Kapoor’s since a long time. When the gossip surfaced, people were shocked. She is seven years elder to him.

Ameesha Patel said there was a particular year when she partied a lot with the Kapoor’s. She was seen at his home, the Chembur bungalow and or matches with their common friends. She said the pictures went viral. This is why the gossip started in the first place. She also said that late Raj Kapoor was one of the people who gave kandha as her grandfather’s body was taken for the last rites.

These rumours probably came in because Ness is good-looking, eligible, and so am I. People just assumed we were a couple. This was way before Preity’s thing. We were just 15 or 16. There’s no truth to it. We’re still very good friends.
