Destination Mumbai Welcomes all to Theatre Round!

Are you ready for yet another Indian Idol journey? A voyage that will take you on a musical trip, that follows the emotional swings of every contestant. The curtains are now down on the Auditions of Indian Idol 3, held in various parts of India, where we also saw Indian Idol going Global to London and Dubai for the first time. The tedious task of selecting the “Lucky and Deserving” 123 contestants from 25,000 participants from India and abroad is also accomplished successfully. So Sony is now all set to start the next level on Indian Idol 3, the Theatre Round.

Once more, Indian Idol is back again to the Dream City of Mumbai. This Beautiful metropolis is all set to welcome the 123 contestants with both hands, as the contestants reach Mumbai by train, bus and flight from all over. The contestants understandably have mixed feelings – they feel overwhelmed as for a few of them, this is their first ever visit to Mumbai, while few are tense as this would be Home away from Home and they have to now live with strangers and build a rapport with all. Inevitably, the Dreams of all these expectant contestants should be sailing high as they aim for perfection. As various emotions engulf these contestants, they are escorted to the luxurious Savoy Hotel, which is to be their home and destination for the coming weeks. So here starts the journey of every individual, as they get ready to take that “One Big Leap” to win the coveted title “Bharat Ki Shaan”.

The cozily settled contestants have a “Special Surprise” waiting for them as Indian Idol has organized a Gala Cruise Party off the Gateway of India. It turns out to be a total blast for the aspiring singers as they are treated to Mumbai Style Pani Puri which is then followed by grand session of Dance in the middle of the sea.

With all the fun and frolic over, it is now time to get down to serious business. The stage is now set in the grand NCPA auditorium. As the judges take the centre stage, the Theatre Round in Indian Idol 3 is officially flagged off.

Amidst great expectations, in comes the first participant of the Theatre Round – the 16 year old Richa from Amritsar. She owns the tag of being the youngest of the 123 participants.. Now will this young talent be the Voice of the Future? Only time will tell!!!

It promises to be an exciting episode where the aspirants calm their jitters to belt out some groovy, some melodious, some soulful and some trendy numbers to woo the judges and the audience. Watch the 123 participants practice, pray and put their best foot forward in the Theatre Round starting May 19th!!
