Deepika-Ranveer missing from Celeb Diwali parties, opted for an Intimate Family Celebration!

While the entire starry kingdom of Bollywood dazzled at several Diwali parties in the last few days, love birds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were nowhere to be seen. The couple tied the knot last year after dating for long six years, and have been setting major couple goals ever since. To celebrate their first Diwali together, the lovely duo opted for a rather intimate family celebration over a humongous celebrity bash.

While the Bollywood family celebrated the festival of lights with a lot of glamour and style, the starry parties missed a glimpse of the adorable love couple- DeepVeer. Reportedly, the celebrity couple celebrated Diwali with their families and siblings in an intimate homely affair.

"Dippy and RS were with both their families ringing in the festivities. Both set of parents - the Bhavnanis and the Padukone's, and their respective siblings were in Mumbai and they celebrated Diwali together. They had a rather quiet few days at home spending quality time with each other and hence decided to give all the Diwali dos a miss,” an insider told Pinkvilla.

The star couple is often mired in work and surrounded with busy schedules, and thus wanted to ring in their first Diwali as a couple with their families and close ones. Ranveer and Deepika will be next seen in Kabir Khan’s 83, post which the actor will soon begin shooting for YRF's Jayeshbhai Jordaar. On the other hand, Deepika has Meghna Gulzar’s Chhappak next, followed by the magnum opus The Mahabharata where she will be seen playing the role of Draupadi.
