Deepika Padukone opens up about her experience of feeling with burnout in her life

New mom Deepika Padukone, is busy with her mother duties nowadays. Deepika welcomed her baby daughter in September this year. The new mom recently opened up about experiencing burnout and feeling sleep-deprived. She shared that her decision-making is impacted during such times.
Recently, on World Mental Health Day 2024, Deepika Padukone participated in a Live Love Laugh Foundation Lecture Series. In a video shared by Quint on YouTube, Deepika discussed her experiences with burnout and its impact on her mental health. The new mom confessed that when she is lacking sleep, it affects her ability to make decisions.
"When you are sleep-deprived or burnt out the decisions that you make and I think sometimes I can actually feel it. I know on particular days when I am feeling stressed or burnt out because I haven't slept enough or practice my self-care rituals...I can tell that my decision-making is getting affected to some extent," Deepika said.
Singham Again actress also shared her thoughts on managing intense emotions and criticism. The Fighter actress described experiencing pain or anger as "normal" and emphasized that criticism should be viewed positively in one’s life. The new mom mentioned that people should recognize that change doesn’t happen overnight.
Deepika Padukone struggled with depression in her life in 2014. She established the Live Love Laugh Foundation in 2015 to promote awareness about mental health.
Professionally, Deepika Padukone began her acting career in 2007 with Farah Khan's film Om Shanti Om, where she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She has also appeared in films such as Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Bajirao Mastani, Love Aaj Kal, Padmaavat, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, and Fighter, among others.
