Crazxy box office collection day 2: Sohum Shah’s thriller sees growth but struggles amid clash with Chhaava

Sohum Shah’s latest thriller, Crazxy, is finding it tough to attract audiences at the box office. Directed by Girish Kohli, the film revolves around Dr Abhimanyu Sood, a surgeon who goes to extreme lengths to save his kidnapped daughter. Despite a slow start, the film saw a slight improvement in collections on Day 2, February 28. However, it is struggling due to tough competition from Chhaava, which remains the top choice for many viewers.

Released across 1,200 screens in India, Crazxy opened with only Rs 1.10 crore on its first day. However, thanks to positive word-of-mouth, it managed to collect Rs 1.35 crore on its second day, taking the total to Rs 2.45 crore. Though the numbers are still low, Crazxy has performed better than its rival release, Superboys of Malegaon, which earned Rs 1.20 crore in two days. Still, Chhaava is dominating the box office, making it harder for Crazxy to gain momentum.

While Crazxy has managed to pull ahead of Superboys of Malegaon, its overall earnings remain low. The film needs to reach at least Rs 15 crore to be considered a decent box office performer. Meanwhile, Superboys of Malegaon, directed by Reema Kagti, is also struggling. But the biggest challenge for Crazxy is Chhaava, which continues to attract large audiences, affecting the business of other releases.

Despite its slow start, Crazxy has been receiving positive reviews from both critics and audiences. It is an intense thriller, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. The film’s music is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, with lyrics by Gulzar. Other composers like Laxmikant–Pyarelal, Anand Bakshi, Jesper Kyd, Harshavardhan Rameshwar, and Osho Jain have also contributed. However, with Chhaava performing strongly, it remains to be seen if Crazxy can survive the competition.
