Chhaava box office collection day 5: Vicky Kaushal’s film crosses a BIG mark but sees a slight drop

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s historical drama Chhaava is still making waves at the box office, but it has experienced a slight decline in earnings. Released last week, the film garnered positive feedback from both critics and audiences, establishing a solid start for its theatrical journey. However, after a strong opening weekend, its momentum has begun to wane.

As per trade tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava earned Rs 24.50 crore on its fifth day, bringing its overall collection to Rs 165 crore. While the film continues to hold a double-digit revenue, its earnings have decreased compared to earlier days. On its fourth day, Chhaava made Rs 24 crore, reflecting a 50.52% drop from day three's earnings of Rs 48.5 crore. The film had a robust opening at Rs 31 crore, followed by an impressive Rs 37 crore on day two.

The film achieved an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 26.12% on Tuesday. The morning shows attracted an 18.19% footfall, which increased to 26.42% in the afternoon and peaked at 33.76% during the evening.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava is a historical action film that chronicles the life of Maratha king Sambhaji, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal. The cast also features Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. This film is based on the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. The musical score and soundtrack are crafted by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil.
