Chef Vikas Khanna backs Gaurav Khanna after plagiarism claims on Celebrity MasterChef

Celebrity MasterChef has quickly become a favorite show for many, even though it hasn't performed very well in terms of TRPs. Despite that, the show is getting a lot of attention online. The show has now reached its grand finale week, with contestants like Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, Tejasswi Prakash and Faisal Shaikh competing for the title. But before the finale, one dish by Gaurav Khanna stole the spotlight.

Gaurav prepared a visually stunning and delicious dish that wowed the judges. Chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar were so impressed that they gave him a “spoon drop” and “spoon tap” — a rare sign of high praise — even before tasting the food. They couldn’t stop admiring his creation.

However, after the promo aired, netizens began accusing Gaurav of copying the dish. Several videos and images surfaced online, claiming that his dish was not original but inspired by another chef’s work. Gaurav started getting trolled heavily on social media for plagiarism.

In response, Chef Vikas Khanna stepped in to defend him. He posted a story on his social media saying: 'For all those commenting on Gaurav’s dish — please tell me which chef created it first in the world. Meringue dripping cones have been done for decades. What amazed us was the overall flavor and presentation.'

The show features celebrity contestants like Tejasswi Prakash, Dipika Kakar, Nikki Tamboli, Gaurav Khanna, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Rajiv Adatia, Kabita Singh, Mr. Faisu (Faisal Shaikh), Abhijeet Sawant, Ayesha Jhulka, and Chandan Prabhakar.
