Charu Asopa talks about FINDING PEACE post leaving Mumbai; Says, 'It doesn’t matter what….'

Charu Asopa, a popular name in the world of Indian television, has taken a step back from her acting career to prioritize her daughter, Ziana. The actress, who was previously married to Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen's brother, Rajeev Sen, has relocated from Mumbai to Bikaner, Rajasthan, to focus on her daughter's upbringing. This decision marks a significant change for Asopa, who has dedicated her time to the demanding world of daily soaps for years.

After leaving Mumbai due to financial constraints, Charu Asopa has spoken about escaping the "chaos" and finding "peace". In a recent YouTube vlog, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress shared a glimpse of her under-construction house in Bikaner, Rajasthan. She explained her decision to step away from the chaos, stating, "What people say does not matter to me any longer."

Previously, Charu had discussed her move from Mumbai to Bikaner in an interview with ETimes. “Living in Mumbai is not easy; it costs money. For me, the monthly living cost came up to Rs 1 lakh -1.5 lakh, including the rent and everything, which was not easy. Furthermore, I would rather not leave Ziana alone with a nanny when I am shooting in Naigaon (Mumbai). It used to get extremely difficult. Moving back home and starting my own thing was completely planned; it wasn’t a rushed decision," she had said.

Following Charu's move, her former husband, Rajeev Sen, alleged that she was fabricating her financial struggles. In response, Charu took to social media, writing, "Wow that’s beautiful. Whatever I do is always drama for this man."

Charu Asopa was previously married to Rajeev Sen, Sushmita Sen's brother. They were married in June 2019 and welcomed their daughter Ziana in 2021. The couple separated in June 2023 and continue to co-parent their daughter.
