An assortment of shows hit the television screens in the year 2012. While some came with a fierce message, the others pierced through the screens with distinctive story lines. Many newbies managed to make their mark despite of facing competition from those series which have been ruling the television industry for many years now.

As we close the year, we got in touch with a few renowned names from the industry who share their favorite show of 2012 with us...

Shashank Vyas: My favourite show has to be Balika Vadhu, not because I am a part of the show but because it definitely is the number one show and one of the longest running shows at the moment.

Shilpa Anand: I love the show Bade Acche Laggte Hai. It is one of the best shows that has ever been made.

Sukirti Kandpal: Undoubtedly Aamir Khan's Satyameva Jayate is my favourite as it was the most fabulous show on television this year.

Roopal Tyagi: I tag my own show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke as the best show of 2012. I can relate well with this show and the story line too is amazing.
