BTS: Jungkook posts apology after wearing 'Make Tokyo Great Again' hat during rehearsals

BTS vocalist Jungkook’s woes after military discharge seem to be never-ending. We read how a Chinese woman was waiting outside his home for 11 hours hoping that he would let her in. Neighbours reported that stalker who was arrested by the Seoul Police. Fans were enraged knowing that Jungkook could not even go home as his manager was alerted about the same. Today, he sang with J-Hope and Jin at the BTS Festa concert. His vocals were stable though he sounded a bit nervous. Now, Jungkook has got into some hot water over a hat he wore during the rehearsal.

He had worn a hat that had Make Tokyo Great Again written on it. US President Donald Trump wore Make America Great Again and it was seen as too far right-wing and imperialist. It is also seen as a slogan of political conservatives. Now, Jungkook has apologized on Weverse. He said he did not know the meaning of the same. Jungkook said it was unintentional and he would do better next time round. He said he had no excuses about this.

Regarding the slogan on the hat I wore during rehearsal today - I sincerely apologize for causing disappointment and discomfort to so many of you. I acknowledge deeply that my failure to fully understand the historical and political meaning behind the slogan, due to my own shortcomings, caused hurt and disappointment. I bear this heavily in mind.
