B-Town steps up for Violated Women!

Bollywood stars take a stand against the violence on women. Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgan, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Genelia D'Souza, Vidya Balan, Abhay Deol, Minisha Lamba and Harman Baweja have formed a team to speak up their minds at WAVE, also known as Women Against Violence Intiative.


The ideals of the program pertain to help female victims of abuse, harassment, and abandonment.


Actor Shahid Kapoor expressed the need to spread the word again violence along with these organizations and stand up for the victims. Colleague and friend Priyanka Chopra felt that promotions and awareness about the existence of these organizations among victims, or likely to be victims had to be gravely undertaken.


The entire bunch of famous faces making presence at such an event was a considerate decision for a noble cause. It may not be in the way of a direct action, but the countless who idolize these stars are sure to pay greater heed to the words of those they hold high.
