Sudden demise: Shilpa Shetty's father Surendra Shetty passes away

In a sudden demise, Shilpa Shetty's father Mr. Surendra Shetty passed away this morning. He suffered a heart attack at his residence in Versova, Mumbai. He was then taken to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

A close source said, "Shilpa's father passed away today at around 9 a.m. at his Versova residence. He had a cardiac arrest."

He was seen on the small screen last year when he came on the set of dance reality TV show "Jhalak Reloaded" with Sunanda and Shilpa to cheer for his younger daughter Shamita Shetty, who was participating in the finals.

We pray for his departed soul to rest in peace and may the Lord grant enough courage to the family to bear the loss.
