Sanjay Leela Bhansali's shooting has been stalled due to protests by the Karni Sena activists.

As per sources, a lot of commotion was caused on the sets of 'Padmavati' that has been set up at Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur. They team could not commence with the shoot due to the protestors who marched in and forced them to stop their shoot.

The activists of Karni Sena are protesting over the portrayal of Rani Padmini of Chittor played by Deepika Padukone.

When the situation got out of control, the team had to call the police. The protestors are now having a conversation with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

'Padmavati' is a Hindi period drama that stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. The plot revolves around the 1303 siege of the Chittor fort in Rajasthan.
