Brad Pitt is reportedly taking legal action against his ex-wife Angelina Jolie regarding the sale of her portion of their shared French vineyard, Chateau Miraval. According to reports, the former couple had an equal stake in the $160 million property and had a mutual agreement that they could not sell their interest without each other's consent.

Brad's attorneys filed a complaint in a Los Angeles court, alleging that Angelina violated their commitment by secretly collaborating with Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler and his associates for the sale of the property. They claim that Angelina and Shefler's company, Stoli, knowingly disregarded Brad and his company Mondo Bongo's contractual rights.

On the other hand, Angelina's attorneys have criticized Brad's actions, describing them as frivolous, malicious, and part of a problematic pattern. They argue that the vineyard was part of Brad's winery business with winemaker Marc Perrin, and Angelina had not contributed to its success. They claim that Brad invested money and effort into the property based on Angelina's promise to preserve it, as well as the contractual rights held by her company Nouvel.

Brad's lawyers have also alleged that the sale took place amid the ongoing child custody dispute between the former couple. Since their split in 2016 and being legally declared single in 2019, Brad and Angelina have been negotiating the custody of their six children and the division of their financial assets, including the Chateau Miraval estate.

The couple's children include Maddox, 21, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 16, and 14-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
