In a tale of contrasting fortunes at the Bollywood box office, 'Fukrey 3' continues to make waves, while 'The Vaccine War' faces an uphill battle to find its footing. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, 'Fukrey 3' has emerged as a clear winner in its opening week. The film has not only crossed the Rs 50 crore milestone but is also closing in on the Rs 55 crore club. According to early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com, the movie earned an impressive Rs 11.50 crore nett in India on its fifth day of release.
The journey to this stellar box office performance started with 'Fukrey 3' garnering Rs 8.82 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 7.81 crore on day 2. The momentum continued to build as it raked in Rs 11.67 crore on day 3 and a substantial Rs 15.18 crore on day 4. As of now, the film has accumulated Rs 54.98 crore in India, marking its dominance at the ticket counters.
'Fukrey 3' boasts a stellar ensemble cast, featuring talents like Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, and Manjot Singh, who have collectively contributed to the film's success.
On the flip side, Vivek Agnihotri's latest offering, 'The Vaccine War,' is struggling to make a mark in the box office arena. Despite featuring esteemed actors like Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi, the film's fortunes have been less than favorable since its release on September 28.
With a budget reportedly around Rs 10 crore, 'The Vaccine War' failed to generate significant box office revenue. It commenced its theatrical run with a mere ₹1.3 crore on its opening day, clashing with 'Fukrey 3' and Kangana Ranaut's 'Chandramukhi 2.' The film faced a challenging start and saw further decline in collections on its first Monday, October 2, earning just Rs 1.50 crore. Consequently, the total collection for 'The Vaccine War' now stands at a modest Rs 7.25 crore.
While the film garnered mixed reviews from both audiences and critics, its box office performance has been less than stellar.
