Boney Kapoor finally opens up on daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s link up with Ishaan Khatter!

Janhvi Kapoor made her impressive debut last year opposite Ishaan Khatter in Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak. The film was a remake of Marathi hit film, Sairat. It crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office and the sizzling chemistry between the two star kids was highly appreciated by the audience. Apart from their on-screen magic, the duo also shares a fun camaraderie off the screen.

The Dhadak duo is rumored to be dating for a long time. However, no official confirmation has ever been made by either of the actors, they are often spotted together and also get indulged in regular social media banter! 

Daddy Boney Kapoor had maintained his mum over the link-ups revolving around his daughter’s name. But, the filmmaker has finally opened up on the rumors of Janhvi dating his co-star and dear friend Ishaan. In a conversation with Spotboye, Kapoor said,  “Yes, Ishaan and Janhvi have done a movie together and they must have become friends. I respect my daughter and her friendship with Ishaan.”

There were also recent reports that stated Ishaan can be found at Janhvi’s house often and receives a lot of attention and love there. The reports also added that the actress’s father and filmmaker Boney Kapoor is fond of Beyond The Clouds actor and elder sister Anshula too enjoys pairing and teasing them! 

However, a source close to Kapoors rubbished the above said reports and revealed to the entertainment website, “Ishaan has, in fact, never visited the Kapoor residence after Dhadak released. There is nothing more than friendship between Janhvi and Ishaan.” 

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Janhvi has her kitty full with projects like RoohiAfza opposite Rajkummar Rao, Gunjan Saxena biopic and Dostana 2 alongside Kartik Aaryan. Ishaan will soon be seen in an Ali Abbas Zafar untitled film opposite Ananya Panday. 

Though Karan Johar has cleared the air on rumors about the Dhadak duo being paired again for the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade, their fans would love to see the adorable two create magic on the screen again! What do you think? Let us know in the comments...
