Boney Kapoor, the man behind the much-anticipated film "Maidaan," is all set for its release. However, amidst the excitement, he found himself entangled in a controversy. According to a report from Pinkvilla, a vendor accused him of not fulfilling payment promises, Boney Kapoor addressed the accusations head-on.

Setting the record straight, Boney revealed that while the vendor's bill amounted to Rs 1 crore 70 lakhs, he had already disbursed Rs 1 crore 7 lakhs, with a balance of Rs 63 lakhs pending. He assured the vendor of settling the dues post the movie's release, as is the norm in the industry. Boney, with a career spanning five decades, vehemently denied the cheating allegations, questioning his longevity if such claims held true.

Expressing disappointment, Boney wished the vendor well but felt his accusations were unjust. He cited support from other vendors, standing by him amidst the turmoil. Such public accusations, Boney emphasized, were unwarranted, especially considering his long-standing presence in the industry.

Despite the setback, the focus remains on "Maidaan," a film chronicling the life of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Spanning from 1952 to 1962, the movie promises to shed light on Rahim's transformative journey in Indian football. With Ajay Devgn leading the cast, alongside Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh, the movie aims to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar performances.
