After 'Guru', the next blockbuster was 'Partner'. True, there were some considerable hits in between – 'Namastey London', 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', 'Aap Ka Surroor', 'Bheja Fry', and so on – but none of them were blockbusters.

Till this Friday, there have been only three films that have crossed the 50-crore net – 'Partner', 'Chak De India', and 'Heyy Baby'. Now we hope that a few more movies are added to this elite group, with releases such as 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag', 'Bhool Bhoolaya', 'Om Shanti Om', 'Saawariya', 'Wanted', and 'Taare Zameen Par'. We still have a quarter of a year left.
