Bigg Boss 18: Karan Veer Mehra admits seeking solace in alcohol; admits his mistakes in failed marriages

Bigg Boss 18 has got an extension this season. Karan Veer Mehra the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 is one of the top favourites to pick up the trophy. We have the round where media comes to grill the contestants. Saurabh Dwivedi will be seen asking Karan Veer Mehra about his alleged alcoholism. He says there are rumours that he got addicted to the bottle to find solace. Karan Veer Mehra admits that there was such a phase in his life, and he slowly overcame the same. Fans have always appreciated him for being honest about his past no matter how unpleasant it might be.

He also asks him about his two failed marriages. Karan Veer Mehra’s divorces have also been raised by the housemates. They said he was a toxic man who could not hold onto the women in his life. Even Salman Khan raised the issue of his divorce on one Weekend Ka Vaar, which was called out by fans. Karan tells Saurabh Dwivedi, “Takleef is baat ki hoti hain ki do logon ke zindagi mein nahi hota toh sahi rehta.” He has admitted that it was his male ego that led to his separation from Nidhi Seth. He said it was a hasty decision and he regretted it.

Karan Veer Mehra was married to Devika Mehra in the past. They were together for ten years as childhood friends but he admitted that their compatibility as a couple was off. The exact reason was never revealed. It seems Devika too entered the entertainment industry as a creative and that led to rifts. Karan had met Nidhi Seth at the gym and they quickly stuck a bond. After two years of dating, they got married in Delhi. The marriage did not last beyond six months. Nidhi said it was a toxic situation and she wanted to get out of it at the earliest. Her parents supported her whole-heartedly in her decision.
