Bhushan Kumar Confirms Aashiqui 3 and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin Sequel! Details below

The T series head honcho Bhushan Kumar is all set to carry his father Gulshan Kumar’s legacy forward. After the successful sequel of 1990's musical blockbuster Aashiqui, he is ready to make the second part of Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt starrer 1991 musical romantic film, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, which was a hit at the box office.

Aashiqui 2 starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor was a hit and was appreciated for its music. After the big success, there were reports of the third instalment of the franchise. Student of the year pair Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt were rumoured to star in the third part. However, nothing concrete surfaced and the reports died off.

But, here’s a piece of good news! Bhushan Kumar definitely as Aashiqui 3 on his mind and a close source informs Mumbai Mirror:

“Aashiqui is special for Bhushan as it’s among the most successful romantic franchises. Like the earlier two films, this one too will be a musical, with an intense love story in its backdrop.” 

Besides, the sequel to Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin too is underway and the source adds:

“It’s another simplistic musical love story, a genre that has taken a backseat. Both films will take off when things get back to normal.”

Bhushan Kumar confirmed the news and told the tabloid, “Yes, Aashiqui and Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin are great franchises to take forward. Both films were big hits back in the day and it’s a great responsibility to carry my father’s legacy forward.”
