#BestOf2018: Shows That Went OFF-AIR This Year!

So, here's presenting you a list of shows that went off-air in 2018:

1.Bepannah: This Colors show starring Jennifer Winget and Harshad Chopra went on air this year and dealt with infidelity. The show despite of getting a good response by viewers went off air in a few months. Sizzling chemistry of the lead pair was the highlight of the show, and hopes were high that it might get shifted to digital platform, but sadly nothing of that sorts happened.

2.Tu Aashiqui: Tu Aashiqui starring Jannat Zubair and Ritvik Arora in the lead, was a musical drama, and was quite popular amongst youth. It was a beautiful love story of a young couple and had all the necessary drama, but this year the show went off-air.

3.Porus: Swastik productions' magnus opus Porus, was a historical drama based on battle of Hydapses, fought between king of Pouravas and Alexander the great. The show featured Laksha lawani, Rohit Purohit, Rati Pandey and Sameeksha as main characters. It was made on a huge scale, even shot abroad locales, but went off air this year.

4.Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji: This show starring Rhea Sharma and Avinesh Rekhi, was a sequel to one pf the longest running shows of Star Plus, Diya aur Baati Hum. While Diya Aur Baati Hum went super hit, the sequel couldn't recreate the same magic and went off air this year.

5.Dil Se Dil Tak: Colors' show Dil Se Dil Tak was loosely based on Bollywood film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. The show starred Rashami Desai, Siddharth Shukla, Jasmin Bhasin, Rohan Gandotra and Mohammad Iqbal Khan.

6.Chandrakanta-Ek Mayavi Prem Gaatha: Chandrakanta was a fantasy television series based on the novel of the same name written by Devaki Nandan Khatri, and featured Madhurima Tulli, Urvashi Dholakia and Vishal Aditya Singh in lead characters.

7.Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki:The Colors show starring Ssharad Malhotra and Kratika Sengar as the lead couple, was a love story of two childhood friends who grow up separately but are destined to stay together till eternity. The show went insanely popular, and the news of it going off-air saddened fans a lot.

8.Naamkarann: Star Plus' show Naamkarann was loosely based on Bollywood film Zakhm. The show featured Aditi Rathore and Zain Imam in the lead roles and was hugely popular show. The show went off air earlier this year.

9.Meri Durga: Star Plus' show Meri Durga's story traced a journey of a young girl named Durga who aspires to become a runner. Also the story revolves around a beautiful relationship of father-daughter.

10.C.I.D: Do we even need to introduce this show? It was probably the longest running episodic show, which was insanely popular amongst all generations of viewers. The news of C.I.D going off air shocked everyone.

11.Rishton Ka Chakravyuh: Star Plus' show Rishton Ka Chakravyuh was a unique mother-daughter story and was loosely based on the epic Mahabharata depicting grey shades of relationships. It featured Mahima Makwana, Ankit Siwach and Narayani Shastri in lead roles.

12.Haasil: Sony TV's show Haasil starring Vatsal Sheth, Nikita Dutta and Zayed Khan in lead roles was a story of two brothers whose lives get entwined with a smart and righteous lawyer. The show garnered a lot of hype, but did not fare too much on the ratings chart, hence went off-air this year.

13.Dil Sambhal Ja Zara: The show starred Sanjay Kapoor and Smriti Kalra and was a matured love story between a couple with 20 years of age difference. The concept was unique and well received by audience.

14.Family Time With Kapil Sharma: Ace comedian Kapil Sharma came back after a hiatus with Family Time with Kapil Sharma, and people had big hoped with this one, but the show couldn't live up to the hype and failed to impress audience, hence went off air.

15.Aisi Deewangi dekhi Nahi Kahi: This Zee TV show went on air with a dhamakedar promo, but failed to deliver. Set in Gujarat, the story revolved around individuals who started off in a wrong foot, but eventually ended up falling in love with each other. The show starred Pranav Mishra and Jyoti Sharma as the leads.
Apart from these 15 shows, Star Plus' show Ikyawann and Sony TV's Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya also went off air in 2018.
