BB 18’s Karan Veer Mehra reveals he DID NOT miss a father figure growing up: ‘It was easy for my mother to..’

Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra has been all over the news ever since his victory on the show. The Pavitra Rishta fame, who has often proudly accepted that he has been raised by women, recently opened up on not missing a father figure growing up.

When asked about his father, in an interaction with Siddharth Kanan, Karan reveals that his father passed away when he was just 9 years old. Further when quizzed about missing a father figure in his life, Karan stated that he did not miss having a father figure.

He says, “Nahi bilkul nahi kiya. My mother was right time pe 70 percent like a father. Matlab mujhe thand mein galti kar ne par raat ko ghar se bahar bhi nikala hua hai, I have stayed the night out. Without warm clothes, Delhi ki sardi toh pata hi hai. And then in the middle of the night, raat 4.30-5 baje, she would take me in and say ke theek hai chal next time mat karna. And then she would feed me. Toh she has done both the roles very nicely, and the product is here. And I do not think aise log hote hai. It was very easy for her to get married, I was 9, my sister was 5. Now that you think of it, you feel why would she not. She was what, 36, 34 at that time.”

The actor had earlier opened up about being dyslexic as a child and had revealed how, it was years later, through Taare Zameen Par that his mother realised that he too was dyslexic and that she weeped upon realising that. Karan had also opened up on his struggles as a partially dyslexic child and had revealed how his teachers would throw scales at him when he would not be able to read properly.
