Ayushmann Khurrana and Andrea Kevichusa are ramping up for the release of their upcoming political-thriller Anek. The actor-duo is currently in New Delhi as they engage in a promotional spree before the film's release.
The film is set in North-East India and dwells on the brutality and prejudice that the inhabitants face. It depicts an undercover cop on a quest to bring peace to India's northeastern area.
Ayushmann recently took to his Instagram account and shared a picture along with his co-star Andrea Kevichusa. Both of them can be seen laughing at something while getting clicked candidly. The Badhai Ho actor captioned the post, "Promotions with the newest face of Indian cinema @andreakevichusa #Anek #27thMay."
The film's trailer has already piqued viewers' interest by posing a genuine question: What does it take to make an Indian feel like an Indian? Ayushmann Khurrana remarked of the film Anek that it glorifies the essence of actually being an Indian.
He claimed that the film's director, Anubhav, worked extremely hard and that his movies set a new standard for him. According to the Vicky Donor actor, his role as Joshua, a cop, forced him to perform things he had never done before in his career span. With the correct coaching and training, he gave this character everything required to bring Anubhav's vision for the film to life.
Anubhav Sinha, who is best known for his back-to-back critically praised and commercial hits such as Mulk, Article 15 and Thappad is directing Anek. Manoj Pahwa and Kumud Mishra play pivotal parts in Anek. Ayushmann will next be featured in Anubhuti Kashyap's film Doctor G and Anirudh Iyer's film An Action Hero.
