Ayesha Singh has added a lot of layering and value to the character of Sai in GHKKPM: Siddharth Vankar

Star Plaus show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ is riding high on success. The show is unstoppable and is winning hearts with it’s intriguing story-line. The current track of the show revolves around Virat’s showdown with Sada. He will soon return to Chavan house.

The creative director of the show Siddharth Vankar once mentioned that Sai’s character is something that makes the show very interesting. India Forums got in touch with Siddharth again and quizzed him on actress Ayesha Singh and her contribution to the character of Sai.

Siddharth said, “Ayesha is doing a phenomenal job as Sai. I believe, ‘Sai’ is a part of Ayesha’s life. She is ‘Sai’ in her space. She is very bold, she is fearless, she loves taking risks. There are a lot of similarities between Ayesha and Sai. She has taken Sai’s nuances to another level. She has put in a lot of effort. I don’t see anyone putting so much of hardwork and passion in their debut show as much as Ayesha. She is extremely hardworking. Even when she was hurt, she made sure to report to shoot without batting an eyelid”.

He further added, “Ayesha has added a lot of layering into Sai’s dimension. The way she gives certain expressions that have become Sai’s signature, has all been Ayesha’s input and we’ve really welcomed all of it. She is always very inquisitive and shares her thoughts to make the character better. She has been an integral part of building Sai’s character and making it what it is today. While the character is inspired from the Bengali show, there is a lot of difference between the characters and likewise she has done a lot of addition on her own and even now, she keeps on asking if this would look better or can we do it that way; which makes it interesting to work with her”.

Sharing his thoughts on Ayesha’s approach towards the character, Siddharth said, “She approaches her character in a very simple and easy way. Like they say, it’s very difficult to be simple and I think simplicity is the key. She is a simple person and that’s what reflect how she approaches the character. I have seen her reading the scene and understanding and performing flawlessly and effortlessly and making things very casual. She understands the dialogue and doesn’t just say it because it’s written”.
