Avinash Mishra on Durga going off air: No excuses because we tried our best, but couldn't connect

Television show Durga - Mata Ki Chhaya will be going off-air on March 13. It features Avinash Mishra, Chahat Pandey, and Rakshanda Khan in the lead roles. The show is a remake of a Bengali show Durga, and narrates the story of how a devotee of Durga, who is married to a young and mentally challenged man Dev, as she feels she is supposed to save him. Avinash plays the role of the man in the show.

Talking about the show going off-air in just a couple of months, Avinash quipped, ''Well obviously it’s sad, but it’s a journey, and it had to end someday. Although this was a very small journey, and definitely loved what I did for these three months. And yes, no excuses, because we tried our best but unfortunately, couldn’t connect well with the audience, maybe something was missing from our side but it’s ok, nobody is perfect, we learn daily and we learned here too.''

Ask him what does he look forward to ahead, he said, ''Well, I haven’t planned anything yet, let’s see what characters I’m offered and accordingly, I will choose the best of it and yes, what has always been on my wish list if I could do some historical show or action-packed shows.''
