Avinash Mishra SLAMS Pak actors for calling Operation Sindoor ‘shameful,’ takes dig at Indian celebs too

Actor Avinash Mishra has spoken out on social media, criticizing both Pakistani celebrities and Indian actors who have not commented on Operation Sindoor—India’s recent military operation against terror camps in Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 Indian soldiers.

Sharing a statement on Instagram, Mishra wrote: Celebrities from across the border—who built their fame on Indian audiences—now calling India’s action against terrorism ‘shameful’ and ‘cowardly’ is the height of hypocrisy. Where are our celebrities now? If you can’t speak up for your country just to protect your ‘brand’ or follower count, don’t ever pretend to represent India. Silence isn’t neutral. It’s cowardice.

The remark appears to be directed at Pakistani public figures like Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, Fawad Khan, Sajal Aly and others who have condemned India’s military response. Mishra also pointed to the silence of top Indian actors. While he has not named any actor, several popular names including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, have not made any public comments on the operation and Avinash’s comments may have been directed towards them too.

Operation Sindoor was launched by India as a targeted strike against terror infrastructure in Pakistan. The action came days after an ambush in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 Indian soldiers were killed. A lot of Pakistani celebrities have apparently slammed the attack and have called it cowardly.

While some Indian celebrities have publicly supported the government and the armed forces, Mishra’s post reflects growing criticism of those who have chosen not to address the issue.
