Ashi Singh reveals she was offered Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai before Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai

Ashi Singh, widely recognized for her role in Sony TV's 'Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai opposite Randeep Rai, recently shared an interesting anecdote about her career journey in an interview. Before becoming a household name with her portrayal in YUDKBH, she was offered a role in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,' one of Indian television's most popular shows. This offer came to her even before her first major break, revealing an unknown chapter of her journey in the entertainment industry.

In the interview, Ashi disclosed that she had signed up for two to three shows before landing her iconic role in YUDKBH. One of these shows was 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.' She was supposed to play a character introduced post-leap, but things didn't go as planned. "I have done a few shows so far but have signed up for eight. Before 'Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai' (YUDKBH), I had signed up for two to three shows. One of them was 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.' I was supposed to play a character in that show, but that character was never introduced," she explained.

Ashi further elaborated on how the role didn't materialize. Despite signing the contract and preparing for the role, she received a call around 15-20 days later informing her that the character she was set to play would not be included in the show. The makers felt that introducing her character as initially planned would not add value to the storyline. This unexpected change left Ashi disheartened, especially since it was an exciting opportunity for her then.
