Bollywood newcomers Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor are gearing up for their debut film, Nadaaniyan, but their latest promotional video has sparked mixed reactions online. While the duo hoped to generate excitement for the film, their over-the-top expressions and dramatic content have left netizens unimpressed, with many calling the video cringeworthy.

On Tuesday, Khushi Kapoor shared a short clip on Instagram featuring Ibrahim desperately trying to get her attention. However, she playfully ignores him, implying that their professional association is over. As Ibrahim dramatically tears up, Khushi captioned the post, “Clearly his #Galatfehmi,” referencing a song from their film. Rather than building anticipation, the video triggered a wave of online trolling, with social media users questioning their promotional strategy.

The video quickly spread across various platforms, with users on Reddit particularly vocal about their disapproval. A post titled “Ibrahim and Khushi. What kind of promotion is going on?” saw several users mocking the video’s concept and execution. The most-liked response read, “The cringe kind.” Others criticized their expressions, suggesting that such promotional content could turn audiences away rather than attract them.

One user questioned the target audience, stating, “The youth will reject this instantly. Who even enjoys this kind of promotion anymore?” Another took a jab at star kids, commenting, “Every day, the bar keeps getting lower for these nepo kids.”

Despite belonging to influential Bollywood families and having access to top-tier PR teams, Ibrahim and Khushi’s promotional strategy appears to be missing the mark.

Directed by Dharmatic Entertainment, Nadaaniyan is a romantic drama that follows the journey of Piya, a bold South Delhi girl, and Arjun, a hardworking middle-class boy from Noida. As their contrasting worlds collide, they embark on a rollercoaster journey filled with love, mischief, and emotional turmoil.

The film also features seasoned actors like Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj in pivotal roles. Backed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, Nadaaniyan is expected to release on Netflix, though the official date is yet to be announced.
