Actor Anveshi Jain has certainly had a journey of sorts to witness where she became a sensation and gained overnight popularity owing to her role in Gandii Baat. As expected, it was the steamy content that involved her in the show that made headlines and while she gained a lot of love and fame from fans and the industry, there were some people who were not up for it.

In a recent interview with Tellychakkar, Jain opened up on how she went through a really tough phase post-Gandii Baat being aired as her parents were disappointed in her owing to the intimate scenes.

When asked about her parents' reaction, she said, "It was a nightmare that I don’t want to recall often. I actually assumed it is not going to reach my dad or my hometown. Well, I was delusional, it did and I was in the gym when I got his call. He only spoke over the phone and I started running crying from the gym in the traffic-filled road. I was crying inconsolably and running. Then I told him I will call you back. That felt like the end of the road."

When asked how did her parents understand her stance, she elaborated, "Next day I wrote him a one-page letter. He didn’t respond. After a week I wrote another one. I kept writing to him every month. It was my last letter which was 5 pages long where I put things in perspective and in hand sight of what struggle I had and would have gone through. He had no idea for 2 years I was struggling in Mumbai. It took a lot of effort from my end. Many phone calls back and forth, some of pleading to be at least heard. And finally, he gave me a patient hearing.

I told him that I was following the commandments he had created for me and if he actually reflected upon those he’d not find me out of line. As a teacher, the guiding principles given by him were that I had to be a good and selfless human being, with no vices or bad habits, had to be self-made and stand on my own two feet and last but not the least so things that made me happy in pursuit of my dreams. It’s the last guideline that I reminded him about. I told him that I had come over to Mumbai with nothing in my pocket, I didn’t take their help, had absolutely no vices or bad company, and had accomplished all on my own merit. My house, my car, my lifestyle. But they would all mean nothing if I couldn’t fulfill my dreams of being an actor, this was a step in that direction and I had done nothing untoward or unbecoming whole enacting it. This opened up multiple avenues for me, and today I can be googled as one of the most searched names on the net. It is something I am proud of and so should he.

I respect their outlook. I left home pretty early and have been traveling and being exposed to the life that they have been not. They are Govt officials in a conservative small town. I can’t blame them or expect anything more from them. But tried to maintain the equilibrium

It wasn’t easy but I kept pegging away till they visited me and saw the fierce desire, the burning ambition, and the hard work and disciplined lifestyle to back it. They finally came around and today truly believe that I can accomplish any goal that I set my heart on."

Well, we are just glad the family is now together and all sourness has been forgotten.
