Anushka Shetty’s first love story resurfaces as speculation grows about her wedding prospects

Recounting a childhood moment from Class 6, Anushka shared, “First loves are so precious that they stay with you even if 300 years pass by. I was in class 6 when a young boy came up to me and told me that I’m the love of his life.” She added, “At an age when I didn’t even know what ‘I love you’ means, I accepted it. That memory lies fresh within my mind forever.” The comment has sparked renewed interest in her relationship status. According to Times Now, the actress confirmed that while there is no one special in her life currently, her parents have been actively looking to get her married. This has added fuel to the long-standing curiosity about her off-screen life.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka will next be seen in Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The story revolves around a woman who is pulled into the cannabis smuggling trade and ends up becoming a local legend. The film, which was originally set to release on July 11, 2025, has now been postponed, and the new release date is yet to be revealed.

Apart from Ghaati, speculation is rife that Anushka might return to the screen alongside actor Karthi in Kaithi 2, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Unconfirmed reports suggest she could play the role of Dilli’s wife — a character briefly referenced in the original 2019 film Kaithi.

In addition, Anushka is set to make her Malayalam debut opposite Jayasurya in Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, further expanding her reach across South Indian cinema.
