Prior to this, Anushka Sharma utilized her Instagram platform to express gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces for safeguarding the nation amidst escalating India-Pakistan tensions. She lauded Indian soldiers as heroes and recognized the sacrifices they and their families have made.

Eternally grateful to our Indian Armed Forces for protecting us through these times like the heroes that they are. Heartfelt gratitude to the sacrifices they and their families have made. Jai Hind

- Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma is the daughter of Colonel (retired) Ajay Kumar Sharma, who participated in every war since 1982, including Operation Bluestar and the Kargil War. Anushka Sharma was just 11 years old when her father fought against Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999.

The actress shared with ETimes in 2012, “Kargil was a tough one. I was too young at that time, but I was scared of seeing my mother. She would always have the news channel switched on throughout the day and would get upset when casualties were announced." She further stated, “I take pride in saying that I am an army officer’s daughter even more than being an actor."

Speculation has intensified regarding Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's relationship following Virat's engagement with several provocative images of Avneet Kaur on her Instagram fan page. Amidst the debate surrounding his intentions in liking Avneet's photos, Virat and Anushka were observed entering a restaurant in Bengaluru. A moment that raised eyebrows involved Anushka's reluctance to hold her husband's hand while exiting their vehicle.

Immediately, rumors circulated that discord existed within the couple's relationship, with many linking it to Virat's "like" on Avneet's photos. As speculation surrounding Virushka persists, the beloved couple was photographed in Mumbai. Their understated appearance was noticeable, as they seemed detached and were not together, but separate. Their team attempted to conceal their public appearance using large umbrellas, but the paparazzi captured a glimpse of them, appearing distant from each other.

In the meantime, professionally, Anushka Sharma appears to be taking a hiatus from Bollywood. Her last appearance was in Zero in 2018, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. While she has completed filming for Chakda ‘Xpress, the film's release date remains unconfirmed.
