Anurag Kashyap Reveals Approaching Priyanka Chopra & Mrunal Thakur before Saiyami Kher for Choked!

Netflix's film 'Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai' has received quite a positive response from the viewers. The Anurag Kashyap film stars Saiyami Kher and Roshan Matthew in the lead roles. Saiyami has been receiving overwhelming response for her character in the film. However, did you know that Priyanka Chopra and Mrunal Thakur were approached for the role before Saiyami?

Yes, you heard it right. As per the latest reports in Pinkvilla, Anurag Kashyap had earlier approached Priyanka and Mrunal for the role. Speaking to the portal, he revealed that he had earlier approached Priyanka Chopra for the role but then she went to America and got busy. He added that they even pitched it to Mrunal Thakur after he saw her work in Love Sonia. But since, this was a de-glam role, Mrunal did not want to play a mother to a ten year old. 

Anurag mentioned that Saiyami was finally approached in 2017 and she had to wear a saree, flatten her hair and go completely de-glam. He also said that she did the role superbly. Anurag told her to try and not take up any Hindi projects because this industry is very unforgiving. He also told her that if she works in south, to maybe inform him but wait for the right project to take up in her next movie as he knows it is very difficult to crack here.
