Newsmaker Kangana Ranaut would certainly love to continue being a part of the buzz for her films just as much as she is in the headlines for her statements and controversies otherwise. The actor, as we know, has been working extremely hard for her second directorial venture, Emergency for a while now. From giving constant updates about the recce of the locations when they were shooting to then having the cast reveal done in the form of posters for each actor and them playing an iconic role in the film - Emergency has been a part of the news brigade for a while now.
And now, veteran Anupam Kher himself has gone on to make tall claims about the film that has definitely piqued the interest of many out there, The actor, who plays the role of political leader JP Narayan in the film went on to talk about how he thinks Emergency will emerge as the biggest hit of 2023. Kher was present at an awards function, where he said, “After working on Kangana’s film I am sure that next year Emergency will sweep all awards at all the functions. Kangana has done a fabulous job in the film as a director and an actress. I urge people not to make any expectations because no amount of expectations are enough with Emergency it will surpass even the highest of them.”
That is indeed a tall claim made by Kher for the film, isn't it? Emergency is set to mark its release on 24th November 2023. Apart from directing the film, Ranaut plays the central role of former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. As the name suggests, the film is set during the time, Gandhi was the Prime Minister and a National Emergency was declared in 1975. It was based on the rationale that there were imminent internal and external threats to the Indian state.
