Anil Kapoor Breaks Down After Mother’s Funeral, Jackie Shroff Steps In to Support His Ram Lakhan Co-star

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor was spotted in a deeply emotional state on May 2, 2025, after performing the last rites of his beloved mother, Nirmal Kapoor. The 90-year-old matriarch of the Kapoor family passed away at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital due to age-related health issues. While many close friends and industry colleagues gathered to offer their condolences, one heartfelt moment stood out—Jackie Shroff consoling Anil Kapoor during his grief.

A video from the funeral went viral, capturing Jackie gently holding Anil's hand and walking with him towards the car. The Ram Lakhan co-stars, known for their long-standing bond, shared a quiet yet powerful moment as Jackie supported his friend during this personal loss. Without saying much, his actions offered comfort and strength.

Anil looked visibly shaken while leaving the venue. Jackie, staying close, helped him navigate the crowd with a gentle presence. Later, Boney Kapoor shared a heartfelt message on Instagram remembering his late mother. “Her generous spirit and boundless love touched all who knew her,” he wrote. “She will remain in our hearts – forever cherished, forever missed.”
