Anas treats his unit on Eid!

Actor Anas Rashid, who portrays a Halwai, Suraj in Shashi Sumeet Mittal's popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum and spreads happiness around Pushkar with the sweetness of his nature and the sweets made by him, did the same in real life.

Talking about his yesterday's Eid celebration, Anas told us, "Yesterday I attended each and every call and reverted to all the messages. In the evening, I organized a get together at my place in which few of my close friends joined. I missed my family and my family missed me even more but at the same time, I felt happy that my college friends were calling and asking me whether I have come to Malerkotla or not."

Though he was missing his family a lot on the occasion of Eid but he had a fantastic Eid celebration. The actor had a day off yesterday and today Anas distributed boxes of sweets among the entire unit members of Diya Aur Baati Hum. We contacted Anas to hear more from his side. He told us, "I woke up and offered my Namaz. I prepared Kheer for my entire unit which I was planning to take along with me on my sets but things didn't go according to my plans as few of my well wishers gave a pleasant surprise by visiting at my place so the kheer was distributed among all of them. So today I distributed the boxes of sweets amongst the unit members. Everyone on the set was delighted to eat the sweets."

Anas does this every year and he recalled saying, "I remember, we had lots of reasons to celebrate last year. My birthday and Eid fell on the same day last year and also the show marked its first anniversary so we celebrated these joyful occasions all together. As a mark of the celebration I had prepared kheer too for my entire unit members."
