Ananya Panday to Lead Two Big Projects? Imtiaz Ali's Next and Gully Boy 2 Rumors Surface

Ananya Panday and Vedang Raina might join forces for Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming romantic film. Though the news is yet to be confirmed, reports suggest both actors have undergone look tests for the project. This fresh pairing has sparked excitement among fans eager to see their chemistry on screen.

Adding to the buzz, rumours suggest Ananya Panday might also star opposite Vicky Kaushal in Gully Boy 2. The sequel is reportedly in the works, with Arjun Varain Singh directing it. Filmfare’s source stated, -Arjun Varain Singh, who directed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan for Excel and Tiger Baby, is slated to direct the Gully Boy sequel. He’s confident that Ananya, who was his heroine in Kho Gaye, will be the perfect girl to lead the project. Vicky has been attached to the sequel for a long time now.

Ananya Panday has an exciting line-up ahead. She will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan in a Karan Johar production, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. Set to release on March 14, 2025, the film revolves around India’s top barrister C. Sankaran Nair and his fight against the British Empire, inspired by real-life events from the book The Case That Shook The Empire.

Meanwhile, Vedang Raina continues to shine. He made his OTT debut as Reggie Mantle in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies in 2023. In 2024, he ventured into cinema with Jigra, playing Alia Bhatt’s brother, further cementing his place in the industry.
