Amrit Manthan completes 200 episodes

Producer Rajan Shahi and actors of Amrit Manthan share their views on their show completing 200 episodes

Yesterday, the cast and crew of Amrit Manthan were in a celebratory mood as the show completed 200 episodes. The team cut two delicious cakes (one cake was from the channel and the other from the production house). Producer Rajan Shahi came to the sets for the joyous cake cutting.

Rajan told india-forums.com, "Completing 200 episodes is a morale booster for the cast and crew. Director's Kut always metes out different shows. Amrit Manthan offers unique mystery and intrigue. In Bidaai we explored the bonding between two sisters, whereas in Amrit Manthan we are exploring the animosity and hatred between two sisters. The entire team has worked hard and of course there was channel support."

Adaa Khan who plays Amrit said, "I am very happy that our show has completed 200 episodes. It was about to shut down, however there was a hike in TRP. The last time we received the TRP, Amrit Manthan was number two on Life OK. "

Ankita Sharma who plays Nimrit was also happy that their show had reached the milestone of 200 episodes. She said, "I joined the show in between. I was initially sceptical whether the viewers would accept me or not. However I am glad that they have received me very well."

Navi Bhangu who plays Agam Malik on the show has thoroughly enjoyed his acting experience. He said, "It is great to play an angry young man on the show. Agam is in fact a lot like me."
