Amitabh Bachchan is an avid social media user who frequently interacts with his fans. However, the veteran actor recently had a bad experience after some trolls criticised him for waking up late. He personally responded to many of these comments and revealed that he had been working all night.

Amitabh ji took to his Facebook around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday to wish his followers a good morning. While his fans wished him back, others questioned him for sending morning greetings when it was nearly noon. In Hindi, someone inquired, "Don't you think you wished for a good morning very early?" the actor replied, "I appreciate the taunt." But I was working late last night, and the shoot was finished this morning. I was late in waking up, so I sent my greetings as soon as I could. I apologise if I offended you."

Amitabh ji also responded to a slew of disparaging remarks, one of which read, "Abe buddhe dopahar ho gayi (It's noon, old man)." "I pray that you live a long life but that no one insults you by calling you a 'buddha' then," Amitabh responded. Another Facebook user referred to him as 'budhau (old man),' and when Amitabh's fans defended him against the troll, claiming that he was in a different time zone, the actor responded. “No, I am in the country only. I slept late because I had been working all night."

Another person mocked him by referring to him as Mahanalayak, a combination of the Hindi words "mahanayak" (superstar) and "nalayak" (worthless). "Yeh kaun si pratahkaal hai mahanalayak Ji (What morning is this Mahanalayak Ji?)" wrote one user, to which the senior actor replied, "I was working all night, so I woke up late, Layak ji (worthy man)."
