Ameesha Patel slams Gadar maker Anil Sharma; says, 'I will never play a mother-in-law'

Ameesha Patel as Sakina from the Gadar franchise is one of the most loved Bollywood characters. Fans cannot get enough of her beauty, innocence and passion in the film. Ameesha Patel has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to slam Anil Sharma after he said that the actress’ reluctance to play a mother-in-law on screen affected the scope of the character. She said that even if she was offered Rs 100 crores she would not play a mother-in-law on screen.

Anil Sharma had said that Ameesha Patel was upset about how she did not have sufficient screen time in the film. He said she could not accept how Sakina would also age and ultimately be a mother-in-law. Anil Sharma said that he had full respect for how well she had maintained her looks despite her age. He then gave the example of Nargis who did not have issues playing a mother to full-grown sons at the age of 26. This is how Ameesha Patel has reacted to his comments on X.

Anil Sharma has said that he is scripting Gadar 3. In the climax of Gadar 2, we saw how Tara reunited Jeet and his lady love, Muskaan. If the story moved ahead with a family angle, then we might see Jeetay married. This would make Sakina a mother-in-law.
