The second season of Kyunki Seas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has brought back the beloved television couple, Mihir and Tulsi (Amar Upadhyay and Smriti Irani), much to the delight and nostalgia of fans. During the first season of the show, Amar Upadhyay aka Mihir left the show for doing films. Now, in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Chetan shared his opinion about Amar’s decision. He also talked about how difficult it is to bag work in the Bollywood industry.

Upon being asked if he thinks Amar Upadhyay took the wrong decision by quitting Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi season 1, for films, Chetan says, "Yes, I think so. Ab dekho firse agye vo kyunki mai, circle has been completed now. He is now back on television as Mihir and see the difference in his life. Jis cheez ne aapko bnaya hai, aapko usko aise chorke jaana galat hai mere hisab se. May be I am wrong but I think you have to respect."

Chetan reveals that movies are fleeting, but television has been around for 20 years and continues to thrive. He also describes Bollywood as a cutthroat industry, where if you're tall, good-looking, and an outsider, you barely stand a chance.

He states that he's working today because he chose to diversify his career beyond films, not solely relying on the film industry for opportunities.

Meanwhile, Amar recently shared that returning as Mihir meant embodying his evolution. He explained that while Mihir was once gentle, traditional, and a product of his era, in "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2," he has undergone significant change.

On the professional front, Chetan recently confirmed his role as Sumali, Ravana's maternal grandfather in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. Having already wrapped up his portions for the film, Chetan praised Nitesh Tiwari's vision, calling it a spectacle that will leave audiences awestruck.

Chetan said, “I’m playing Raavan’s nana in the film. It’s a very crucial role… It starts with him. It’s one of the best shoots I’ve ever done in my life. I can’t say more, but it is by far the best shoot I’ve ever done… Abhi toh chaalu hua hai, jab sab saamne aaayega and shots dekhenge, you’ll understand the scale it’s being done at."
