Actor Alok Nath has been accused of sexual misconduct by producer Vinta Nanda, who revealed shocking details about the incident. Since then the #MeToo movement has taken the whole Television as well as Bollywood industry by storm. A lot of actresses and some anonymous faces, have come out and exposed several celebrities.

However, Alok Nath's case is the most talked one in the town. Not just Vinta, but actresses Himani Shivpuri, Sandhya Mridul and Renuka Shahane have spoken up against the senior actor.

After this news spread like wildfire in the media, Alok Nath has now filed a Rs.1 defamation case against Vinta Nanda in a Mumbai court.

Yes, that's true!

The actor was also sent a notice by CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists Association), but he ignored it by saying some women misused liberties and protection given to them and made false accusations.

His statement from the lawyer read, "Please note that it is the matter of record that some of the persons have started misusing liberties, protections, concessions available to them for hailing from a particular class and more particularly liberties and protections made available to the female members. It is also a matter of experience that time and again, false and fabricated complaints are filed, including complaints of serious nature inviting serious sections and serious penal sections and ultimately the persons against whom the allegations are made, are being acquitted by the Honorable Court and thereafter, the complaint by itself is quashed by the Honorable Court."

Alok Nath has now refused to respond to a notice issued to him by the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA) regarding writer-director Vinta Nanda's claims that he sexually violated her 19 years ago. IFTDA has now decided to take strong action against the actor.

IFTDA had sent a notice to Alok on October 10 based on a complaint by Nanda.

In response, Alok's advocate Ashok Sarogi has told IFTDA that, there is "no complaint at all made with any of the police authorities, nor filed with any of the legal authorities" and that the notice has been served on the basis of "interviews and some complaints on social media".

IFTDA President Ashoke Pandit told on Tuesday: "We are calling a meeting to find a way... We will follow whatever is permissible under the law of our association, to protect our members.

"Yes, she (Vinta) did not complaint to the police, but she did complain to us. So we will take a strong stand."
