Allu Arjun Faces Backlash: Protestors Burn Effigy, Attack House Over Sandhya Theatre Pushpa 2 Stampede Victim

The controversy surrounding Pushpa 2 has taken a dramatic turn. Protestors recently burned Allu Arjun’s effigy outside his residence, demanding justice for the Sandhya Theatre stampede victim. The shocking video, shared by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, shows demonstrators chanting slogans and holding the actor responsible for the tragic incident.

On Sunday, Allu Arjun’s Hyderabad home became the target of a violent protest. A group, reportedly from Osmania University’s Joint Action Committee (JAC), stormed his residence, throwing tomatoes and breaking flower pots. The protestors demanded Rs 1 crore as compensation for the victim’s family. Fortunately, the actor was not present during the attack. Eight individuals were arrested and detained at Jubilee Hills Police Station.

The controversy began on December 4 during the premiere of Pushpa 2, when a stampede outside Sandhya Theatre led to the death of a 35-year-old woman. Her eight-year-old son remains in a coma at a local hospital. Following the tragedy, a case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

On December 13, Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the incident. However, the victim's husband later expressed willingness to withdraw the case, stating he did not hold the actor responsible for his wife’s death. Despite this, public outrage has not subsided, as evident from the recent protests.

The Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail on December 14, with a personal bond of Rs 50,000. While the actor is out on bail, the controversy continues to escalate, keeping Pushpa 2 and its star in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
