Alia Bhatt on Raha's privacy: I genuinely don’t think that a baby needs to be a public personality
In a recent interview with Vogue, Alia Bhatt talked about the privacy surrounding her daughter, Raha and how media has been supportive of their decision.

Alia Bhatt, the successful Bollywood actress, recently shared her thoughts on the privacy of her daughter, Raha, and how the media has been respectful of her wishes to keep her child out of the public eye. Bhatt expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of love and blessings she and her daughter receive from strangers on the internet, but also mentioned that she is very protective of the people she loves, especially her daughter.
Talking about that with Vogue she said,
“Ranbir and I are very clear on how long we don’t want Raha to be in the public eye for. We don’t even want to post her pictures on social media. I just don’t feel comfortable with any sort of conversation around my little baby right now.”
She further added,
"And I genuinely don’t think that a baby needs to be a public personality. Again, that’s my opinion right now. We’ll take each day as it comes. We also have to be practical as individuals in the public eye. And it’s not like we’re saying nobody can see her ever. It’s just for now. And people have mostly been very respectful about that.”
During a recent trip to London with her partner, actor Ranbir Kapoor, to celebrate his 30th birthday, Bhatt was able to take her daughter outdoors and enjoy the public spaces without the constant vigilance required in Mumbai. She remarked that it was lovely to see her daughter carefree and looking like a true Londoner, which was not possible in India due to the high level of media attention. As she continues to make waves in both Bollywood and Hollywood, we can only hope that others will follow her example and strive for a more balanced and respectful approach to celebrity culture.
