The legendary actor, who needs no introduction, Mr Amitabh Bachchan is marking his 80th birthday today. The actor have set a legacy for all other budding stars in the fraternity and he is an inspiration to the thousands of artists out there. 

On this special occasion, celebs from the tinsel town have taken to their social media and poured their hearts out to wish the veteran actor, a happy birthday. Ananya Panday shared a reel as she attended the special screening held in Juhu yesterday to honour Amitabh Ji. Vicky Kaushal also took to his Instagram handle and shared 2 pictures of Amitabh Ji with a heartfelt caption. He wrote, "A legend. An icon. A true inspiration. Happy 80th Birthday Sir! @amitabhbachchan"

Akshay Kumar also shared a picture of his with Amitabh Bachchan and wished him with a special note. For the unversed, Akshay and Amitabh shared screen space in the film 'Waqt'. He penned, "Sending my best wishes to the man who’s the one single reason behind an entire generation wanting to be a hero in films. My inspiration, Bachchan Saab ! Wish you a very happy 80th birthday @amitabhbachchan sir.

Anushka Sharma and Sara Ali Khan also wished the veteran actor on their Instagram stories. Sara wrote, "A legend of Indian cinema. An inspiration as an actor and the most humble person. happiest Birthday Sir."

Earlier today, his daughter and granddaughter had also penned heart felt wishes for the actor on his special day. On the professional front, his film Goodbye is currently running in theatres and have been receiving mixed reviews from the audiences.
